Hello everybody ...
I found some difficulties in the poem "The sick rose "
by William Blake ...
O rose , thou art sick !
The invisible worm
That flies in the night ,
In the howling storm ,
Has found out thy bed
Of crimson joy,
And his dark secret love
Does thy life destroy.
My questions are :
* What is the meaning of "thy" ?
* What are the symboles in the poem ?
* What does the poet mean by "thou art sick" ?
* What is the main idea of the poem ?
++++ And plz. if it is accomplishable ... with a succinct explaination !
Thank you very much
Best regards >>>
Rose
