I didn't expect that because of different systems we can't find a word or expression for that concept.

There isn't a term. If you fail the final exam, and that exam is worth more than 40% of your grade, you pretty much fail the course and have to take the course over again, a second time around. The exam for that course is called "the final (exam)".  | |
