The writer is not that advanced a user of the language, though they don't make many mistakes. If you look at the first paragrapraph, the sentences are not really connected in terms of language, though there is a flow of thought. This lack of language connection suggests that this is not a native speaker to me, and do that many native speakers use terms like 'since ancient times'. Also, some of the statements are a bit sweeping, like saying that fossil fuels are 'bad', without any qualification. Points are underdeveloped.
