 how close they are to Him
Read this sentence said by Mother Teresa:
"God has His own ways and means to work in the hearts of men and we do not know how close they are to Him."
I am confused about what "they" refers to. Is she saying that "We do not know how close the hearts of men are to each other in God's eyes"? Or "how intimate the relationship between God and men are"? |
