:?: When I write the subject is the jest of the whole piece. I use italics to make a point. To me that's my style of writing. But I write whatever comes to mind. The mind can be quite disorderly. Maybe I should use a numbered list or bullet list to be better understood? pljames
It comes down to WHY you are writing.
If it is to please yourself, then write however it pleases you.
However, if your focus is on your reader, then you will need to help you reader out.
If you are writing to entertain and amuse, you have more freedom. If you are writing to persuade or explain, you need structure.
