Default please halp me these three sentences

1, If you didn't do much maths at school, you will find econmics diffclt to understand .
why here are two diffrent tenses in this sentence

2, As he was crossing the street , he was run over .
Why use "was" there ,"run" is a verb . Is it should at after "he" direct?

3, I want another cupof coffee

why not "other"

1. If you didn't do much math at school, you would find economics difficult to understand.
2. OK...
3.OK.
or you can say:
I want the other cup of coffee. ...if you are choosing a different coffee...like a decaf or a different flavor.

There are two differenct tenses, because you use a conditional.

If you don't do much maths at school (now, at the present time till the future) you will find economics difficult to understand (in the future).

If you don't go to school (now, at the present time till the future) you will never find a good job (in the future).

You use "was" because it is passive. He doesn't himself run over. He was run over by a car driver.

Hope that helps,
Dany
