treat
Hi there,
Is it correct to say like this?
I want to treat you to lunch to thank you for your help.
Let us have lunch together. I am going to treat you for your help.

Re: treat
The first two are fine, but the third is a little odd without the "to lunch" part.

Re: treat
Hi there,
Tks a lot.
Is there any difference between 'am going to' and 'will' in the following sentences?
Put away your money. I am going to treat you to this.
Put away your money. I will treat you to this.

We usually employ 'am going to' for things that we have planned to do and 'I will' for spur of the moment decisions.
