cookies, biscuits, crackers
Hi dear experts,
Could you tell the difference in meaning of the words:biscuits, crackers, cookies?

Re: cookies, biscuits, crackers
They are all terms for flat edible disks, often sweet, sometimes plain.
In BrE Biscuit is used for all forms. Cracker is used for a particular form of plain biscuit intended for eating with cheese.
In UsE Cookies and Crackers are the words used. It is my understanding that "biscuits" are closer to what we call "scones", that are made with a raising agent. I am sure this has been discussed on several occasions.
