Grammar-phrasal verbs
Can you please check whether the phrasal verbs in these sentences have been used correctly.
1. Peter's parents are moving for a divorce.
2. The balloon blew up when my brother accidentally stepped on it.
If the phrasal verbs are not accurate, can you please replace them with an accurate phrasal verbs.

I wouldn't use a phrasal for either of those.
They are getting a divorce, and the balloon popped.

For #1 I would say: Peter's parents are filing for a divorce. (presenting papers to the court)
2. I agree that the correct way to express #2 is to say: The balloon popped... I don't think there is a phrasal verb for it.
