kind of vs. somewhat
When do you use, kind of and somewhat, in sentence structure?
I think that painting is kind of or somewhat interesting. I would say, "somewhat interesting" but is that correct?

Yes, it's correct. You can also use "sort of" and "rather".

It could be that "kind of" and "sort of" sound more casual than "somewhat" and "rather". However, they're interchangeable in any circumstance.
