I'm looking forward to going to the zoo.
I Look forward to meeting your friend

There's little difference. The present simple form is more common in formal language.

"I am looking forward to" contains 'am -ing', a progressive verb, and together with the word "forward", it expresses a continuous act, that you are at the present time looking forward to going to the zoo.

"I look forward to" contains a simple verb "look", and together with "forward", it expresses a fact about the future.
