    Default Are they in rhyme?

I'd like to know something about rhyme and wonder if you could help me.
Which pairs of words are in rhyme and which are not:

    round, town
    hat, lot
    noble, able
    night, height
    night, hate
    sleep, slip
    death, teeth
    death, dead
    school, cool
    howl, towel
    chuckle, smile
    toward, afterward
    fresh, dash
    student, dent
    thousands, band
    thousands, bands
    above, love
    women, gentlemen
    fear, here

    Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much,Anglika. Judging from what you marked, can we say that only those words ended with the same vowel or the same vowel + the same consonant are in rhyme? (or: the same pronunciation)

And how about the 'an' and the 's' in the sentence:
    An American Achieves his Aim

    Thank you again.

That's the exact definition of a rhyme - they have the same pronunciation at the end.

Because English spelling is so odd, they may look at all alike: height and bite, for example.
