climb onto the donkey to ride home?
Hi,
Here is the excerpt from our textbook:
Before Nasreddin climbed onto his donkey to ride home, the shopkeeper and the shop assistant ran out. "You didn't pay for the robe," said the shopkeeper.
I wonder if it is correct to say "climb onto his donkey". Thanks!

"Climbed onto his donkey" is correct.
