I have a multiple choice question , I chose the answer c (chosen) but the answer key is b (fixed), I've tried to explain but I cannot imagine an appropriate reason the answer key and why the answer c(chosen) is wrong . Hopefully, someone here can help me .

I find it hard to explain, but 'chosen' is really not suitable here.

c. could replace 'set', but it doesn't mean 'set'.
b. 'fixed' is closer to the meaning of 'set'.
Both sides can choose a date, and when they agree, it is set/fixed.
