Let's say I'm looking at a picture and I say:

1. We are tired in this photo.
2. We were tired in this photo.

3. I think we are drunk in this photo.
4. I think we were drunk in this photo.

Do I use present tense or past tense when I'm looking at photos? Thanks.

All are OK-- when you speak, are you thinking of the former event (2 & 4) or the present appearance (1 & 3)?
