[General] HEEEEEELP..The conditional Forms

Hi:
I am learning English grammar, but I am confused. Is it possible for an expert out there to check my answers. The conditional forms are not my strongest area, Using the structure below, I hope I have work them out correct..please correct
PRESENT CONDITIONAL = IF + PRESENT / PRESENT
1st CONDITIONAL = IF + PRESENT / FUTURE
2nd CONDITIONAL = IF + PAST / WOULD + INFINATE
3rd CONDITIONAL = IF + PAST PERFECT / WOULD + HAVE + PAST PARTICLE
1) If I knew where he lived, I'd visit him (2nd Conditional)
2) If you heat water to 100o Celsius, it boils (1st Conditional)
3) If I hadn't picked up Martins wallet, he would be in dire straits now (2nd Conditional )
4) If you go out alone at night, you will get into trouble (1st Conditional)
5) If you had studied Spanish last year, you would have been fluent by now (3rd Conditional)
6) If I eat chocolateall the time, I get fat (Present Conditional)
7) If I were you. I'd buy the red dress (2nd Conditional)
8) What would you have done, if your girlfriend told you she had got a new boyfriend. (3rd Conditional)
9) If she had looked where she was going, she wouldn't have had an accident (3rd Conditional)
10) If you come to the party tonight, you'll meet Tom (1st Conditional)

A piece of advice ; try to understand why you use the Present, 2nd/etc Conditional, what are implying,after the sentence ends.

I don’t like this sentence:
1) If I knew where he lived, I'd visit him (second Conditional)
I’d use third conditional here:
'If I had known where he lived, I would have visited him.'

The second conditional refers to present or future time.
e.g.: We haven’t got a good map. We’re lost.
'If we had a good map, we wouldn’t be lost.'

I don't know the answer. I can't tell you.
'If I knew the answer, I would tell you.'

Well, in my opinion, ‘he lived’ refers to the past. I know that the second conditional is hypothetical but how I can think of visiting him if he doesn’t live there anymore.

If I translate the sentence to my first language, it sounds wrong. But if I use third conditional which refers to the past, it sounds perfect.

I would accept this sentence as second conditional:
If I knew where he lives, I would visit him. (I don’t know where he lives = present)

No, it's the subjunctive form of the present. It means "If I knew where he lives, I'd visit him" But we use the past tense form as a subjunctive.

How would you write it in Spanish? Is 'lived' a subjunctive? If so, then it's the same as in English.

Yes, that's what it means, but that's not how it's said. The subjunctive of 'lives' is 'lived'.

I am not sure it's really a subjunctive, but you are surely right that it has a rather hypothetical type function. Specifically, I feel it's just a past tense in temporal accord with "I knew" which is a past tense analogous to the past imperfect used in almost all Indo-European languages for a condition (NB not conditional)... If I had, If we knew, If they were...

But overall, I agree with the type of information given the OP.
