Use a decent dictionary, and note the IPA transcriptions. If you don't use the IPA I don't see how you can hope to learn to speak a language in which - for example - one group of written letters can make seven different sounds: cough tough though through bough thought borough (/ɔ ʌ ǝʊ u: ɑʊ ɔ: ə /). Sorry, but if you don't make an effort you won't get anywhere (at least, you won't get anywhere worth getting).
