There are a few questions i have -
i) When do i know whether i use "to study" or "studying". Example: He _____ History in college.
ii) "Both (of) my parents ..." is covered in what grammatical category?
An early response appreciated as am running against a clock here!!!
You wouldn't use either without some addition.
i) The tense of the sentence determines the answer. He wants to study... expresses the idea that he isn't studying history at the moment but wants to in the future. He is studying... is present tense indicating the studying has already started.
ii) I don't understand the question.

Thanx for reply to first question - the issue caem up wehn the choices avaliable were:
- He intends to study History in college.
- He intends studying History in college.
Which would be more appropriate.
As to the second question - it had to do with the use of "of" - would i say 'Both my parents..." or "Both of my parents ..." and under what aspect of grammar does it get covered.
