    Default to be a go

    Dear teachers and friends...

Jackson's doctor will reportedly be charged while his family's reality show is a go

what does 'being a go' mean?

Did the author mean 'always on the go'?

    Thank you

What does 'being a go' mean? << It means that it will proceed as planned. It's got the green light. It's going to happen. It will, in fact, be a show.

Did the author mean 'always on the go'? << No, "always on the go" means "always busy, active, and moving".

We could say the expression is "to be a go", not really "being a go".

Use "being" to show that a form of behavior, an attitude, or a type of action is temporary. This is a state: It's a go.

When the good doctor is charged, we could then say that "Jackson's doctor is being charged with ...". For now, we only know that he will be charged; he's not being charged - yet.
