I lead a hand-to-mouth existence. Also, many people would just say "I live hand-to-mouth (or hand to mouth)." Personally, I don't recall ever hearing a single person described as being interactive. The word interactive typically describes a machine, a computer program, a computer game, etc. It suggests that there are many opportunities for direct communication between the user and the machine, program, game, etc. It might also describe a group of people, meaning that there is a lot of communication within the group. I suppose you could say either "You are very interactive" or "You have an interactive personality," but it still strikes me as slightly odd. Maybe it's just me. Others might have a different take on this one. Greg |

| I've never seen "interactive" applied to a person either. |

| Interactive is an adjective, thus it could be used as mentioned above. I think so. |

| Yes, interactive is an adjective and perhaps it could be applied to a person but I have never seen it. Adjectives are not always appropriate in all situations. |

| It seems it is applied to people too. For June 27, 2009, CBS, CBS_Early, 2009 (090627). Quote:

Interesting example. (Note, however, that your second example does refer to groups of people.) Greg |
