    In British English it's 'platform'; but in the song 'Chattanooga Choo-choo' they use the word 'track' - which leads me to suspect it's Am E.

    Bob K. is correct. As an American English speaker, I would say "track three", and that is what one can expect to hear in announcements at a train station here.
