I would like to know the difference between "1" and "2".
1. He got to his feet and began to walk.
2. He got himself to his feet and began to walk.

There is no difference in meaning.
The "himself" is not needed. It is assumed that he got to his feet all by himself.
However, you can say "He got to his feet himself" if you want to emphasize that he did not have help getting up.
