Pls explain me the meaning of this sentence
Here is a small phrase from my favourite book:
The television in front of me was blaring out a cellphon company advertisement telling people to walk while you talk as though it had health benefits! they seem to be more interested in creating jingles than in the safety of their customers.
Now my question is : what is the meaning of "creating jingles" in the above line? Is it a slang or a idiom or what? Dictionary meaning of jingle doesnt fit in this sentence..

Dictionary meaning of jingle doesnt fit in this sentence..
That's funny...it should.
jingle (n) A short, catchy song used to advertise a product on radio or television.
If that's not in your dictionary, it should be.
