what does this mean? I was texting with my gf late at night(10pm) and told her I was joining my best friend for a dring and then a heading home. She texted me back ¨5th Wheel? Please help my find what she meant...

"5th wheel" is a phrase meaning someone being unwelcome, not needed or simply too much, especially during a get-together or date.
I guess your gf was asking if your friend had his girlfriend with him, and if you didn't want to stay long because of this.
