    Question Study or read?

    Which one is correct?
    1- Which class do you study in?
    2- Which class do you read in?

    Thanks for your reply but an English teacher told me that both are incorrect. The only correct English expression is 'What class are you in'. What do you say about that?

    I would say that while "What class are you in?" is correct, "What class are you studying in?" is equally correct.

    do these suggested expressions ask about the grade or the classroom of the other person?

    They could refer to either.
