Default To house something?

Your examples do not house a linking verb.
I read this sentence in one of the threads in the forum and I wanna ask a question:
Can we use the word house as a verb? What meaning does the word house above suggest?

To house (vb.), to enclose or encase. In the field of Linguistics, words, phrases and sentences are viewed as having a structure; moreover, structures are represented in writing using square brackets ( [ . . .]), like the walls of a house.

Hi Latoof!! Yes, you can use "house" as a verb.

Examples

This palace houses a museum now ( has been transformed into a museum...)

This stadium can house 10.000 people ( can hold )

This hotel can house 10.000 people ( can lodge )

Hope this helps, Maeve

Thx Latoof!! But it is "people" not "a people" unless you are referring to the citizens of a country.

People>> plural

People as citizens >> singular

Cheers!! Maeve
