When I look back and recollect/remind myself/remember/ that crazy month then ...
--- Which is correct: "recollect", "remind myself", "remember"? There is no "myself" after the word "recollect", isn't there?

Yes that's right. 'Myself' is used because 'smth (or smb) reminds smb of something':
I can 'remind myself of that crazy month'.
I can 'recollect or remember that crazy month' - not 'I can remember / recollect myself that crazy month'.

I like recollect here, it seems more pensive and active than remember, which is already implied by looking back.
