What is the difference between "stress" and "Disstress" and how are they used?

Distress: extreme anxiety, sorrow, or pain: to his distress he saw that she was trembling | her fingers flew to her throat in distress.

Stress: a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances: he's obviously under a lot of stress | stress-related illnesses.
