Starving for food or Starving
Hi,
Which one is more appropriate?
He is starving for food.
He is starving.
Apart from food, for which other things can a person starve?
Thanks

Re: Starving for food or Starving
It is better to just say, "he is starving". We assume, unless it is further clarified, that you mean starving for food. Sometimes we say someone is starving for attention. If you are under water too long, you will soon feel starved for air or oxygen.
