Dynamic or Stative/ Activity, Achievement, or Accomplishment?

I'm sorry to hear you got robbed today, and your last dollar is gone. I had my bag stolen last year, about the same time twice! It was from work just after I'd got back from lunch with my friends. The police thought it was probably the same person. But I was so careless! I thought it was all right because it was only a few minutes. I only left my desk briefly.

Is this 'had' classified as a dynamic verb, and, which of the three types of dynamic verbs --- activity, achievement, accomplishment verbs --- is it? Or, is it a stative verb?

Good question. I always view such categories with doubt... people invent them to sort and compartmentalize knowledge when they can't add to knowledge.

If I had to weigh in, I'd say it is indeed dynamic, in the sense of an activity, though not obviously in that of a recreational one.

If it's 'got my bag stolen,' would you say if the same thing is true in your opinion? These 'have' and 'get' have been bothering me for the past few days.

Well, "get" has about 40 meanings in English. Normally, we would use both in terms of desirable activities, such as "I got my hair cut" or "I had my nails done."

Here, the same structure is used, but without the sense of an intended action -- they are used simply avoid mentioning or describing the criminal, as he is unknown and in a sense not personally relevant.

Actually I meant these particular instances of 'had' and 'got.' The 'got' of 'I got my bag stolen' sounds to me like an achievement verb because it describes an instantaneous action as the definition of the type of verb goes.
