Default investigate "problems" OR "on problems" ?

    Dear Teachers, Madam and Sir,

I am writing a research proposal.
I would like to check which is the correct sentence.

This report will investigate_________________ related to employing local maids.

    A. problems
    B. on problems

    Please advise, thank you.

    Regards,

    Don't use the "on."

I found a statement in EnglishForums as following

You use 'on' with the noun investigation rather than the verb.
I will investigate on this problem. incorrect.
There will be an investigation on this problem. correct.

    Is this an correct statement?

"There will be an investigation into this problem" is better than "...on this problem."
