If "the" is specific and "a" is non-specific, why do people say "This is an easy question," even though this sentence is referring to a specific question? Why not use "This is the easy question" instead?

    Hello,

I give you my opinion about your phrase; 'This is an easy question' you do not know what is the subject of the question and naturally you must use the indefinite article 'a or an'.

    Have a nice day.
