I read on the new Mortensen's movie, The Road. Among the people the two main characters meet on their travel, I read they come across "some well-fed cannibals who keep a cellar-full of barely human cuisine in a big house."
I'm not quite sure of getting the meaning of "cellar-full of barely human cuisine"
Is it saying the cannibals have a cellar full of human meat? Quite horrific if that!
This "cellar-full of barely" is confusing for me, too.
Thank You for your help
It has a double connotation of human meat being stockpiled, and a form of cuisine that cannot really be regarded as human. It is "barely human" >> hardly human
