    could you pls tell the difference between the back and aback with some suitable sentences.

    Also ashame/shame

    back (adv/n/adj/v) ... For back as an adverb, click here

    You can search Longman for the rest.

    Notice that ashamed is (adj) shame is (n)
    ashame never exists in English dictionaries
