    Default why ''no'' for ''Number''?

    Hi,

1: why do we have to write 'No.' when we abbreviate ''Number'' as there's no ''o'' in ''Number''?

2: ''Thank you for apprising me of your children ages!'' correct?

3: "Apprise me of your age now." correct?

3: "Apprise me of your age now." correct? Though "apprise" is not the term I would use. "Tell me your age now".
