2.1. Father didn’t like your taking the car.
2.2. Father had rather you didn’t take the car.
3.1. I’m sorry you interfered.
3.2. I had (would) rather you had not interfered. (use had)
4.1. I was so sorry she had already left.
4.2. I’d rather she had not left.
