1.1.I don’t want you to help me with the washing up.
1.2.I’d rather you didn’t help me with the washing up.

2.1. Father didn’t like your taking the car.
2.2. Father had rather you didn’t take the car.

3.1. I’m sorry you interfered.
3.2. I would rather you had not interfered.

4.1. I was so sorry she had already left.
4.2. I’d rather she had not left.

2.1. Father didn’t like your taking the car.
2.2. Father had rather you didn’t take the car.

3.1. I’m sorry you interfered.
3.2. I had (would) rather you had not interfered. (use had)

4.1. I was so sorry she had already left.
4.2. I’d rather she had not left.
