Is this sentence ambiguous?

Does it only mean:
a-Two children GOT frightened in the classroom. (active meaning)

or could it also mean:
b-There were two frightened children in the classroom. (Stative meaning).

I don't see any ambiguity there. "There were two children frightened in the classroom" means that two children were frightened, and they were in the classroom when it happened. If we were going to use frightened as an adjective we would put it before children.

You are obviously quite right. There is no ambiguity. I do have a tendency to get seized by doubts from time to time about things that are pretty obvious.
