    Talking Born and Brought up

    Hi,

Is it correct, and does it have any grammatical logic?

Born and Brought up is incorrect, we as people are born and raised. Brounght up is used only for pets; cattle, wheat, etc.

    Thanks

Alan was brought up by his sister.
Peter was born and raised in New York.

bring up - raise mean to look after and influence a child until s/he is grown up

    Here is a good discussion

No, brought up applies especiallly to children. Animals are raised (people can be too) but to bring up means to educate as well as nourish.
