Can I omit the word "working" from the "working experience"?
Dear teachers,
I had been working as a student helper for a few years in a bookstore located at my school.
My friend, Jan, was asking me why I didn't quit the part-time job even if there were a lot of school projects and assignments.
Here is what I told her:
Yes the time was tight but I think I had benefited from the experience because
I was working with some professionals there...
Some time after our conversation, I thought I had made a big grammar mistake in what I have told Jan. Maybe I should specify to her that
"I had benefited from the working experience ",
instead of just saying
"I had benefited from the experience".
Please advise, teachers.
Thank you.

If I had written your message above, I would have written:
... grammar mistake in what I had told ...
... work experience " ...
or simply
... experience " ...
If you create a resume, you should use Experience and Education as headings. Normally, Work would be assumed.
