Do we say 'very excellent'?

I hear native speakers say 'very excellent' and that contradicts my grammar teacher's notion that 'excellent' has no comparative or superlative degrees.

Edit... actually, we do hear "most excellent" so maybe you're right.

"Very Excellent" sounds odd to me.

You'll hear "Very Good" "Very Well" quite often though

Dictionaries define "excellent" as superior, first-class, remarkably good.

Sometimes you will hear things like 'quite excellent' and 'really excellent'.
