Please check the following sentence in one text book.
(When he met the medico,there was nothing left of the the ghee he had bought)
I think it should be written like this;
(When he met the medico ,there was none left of the ghee he had bought .)
So, please tell me whether my writing is right or not.:?:

In this context, nothing is the correct word to use.

But i m not clear yet.In this text, he packed the ghee in a green leaf.I think that ghee is gone but the leaf is still in his hand.So, i think "none" is more suitable in this sentence.Pls, check it again.
And then you said "Context".Pls, explain me clearly why and how.
