Await or awaits?
Just seen the two following lines using 'awaits'
(1) Mouthwatering food awaits diners
(2) Excellent accommodation and fine food awaits you
Usage in (1) appears OK, but should (2) have await rather than awaits? That is my question. I am confused! Help!
Cheers, Lorcan

Nope, the usage of "awaits" is appropriate in both the sentences.
Both the sentences seem to be in passive voice, in active voice "await" can be used..
We/I await the arrival of mouthwatering food.
I/We await excellent accomodation and fine food at the hotel.
