Is this correct?

I want to say I'm teacher, but I want to emphasize so I want to use 'work' also.

My work is a teacher.
My work is professional basketball player.

If you insist on using "work" in the sentence, it might be better phrased as "I work as a teacher."

I would prefer something like, "My career is teaching" or "My career is professional basketball."

"A teacher" is not work. "Teaching" is a job, a career, a profession, a calling, or perhaps if you stretch it, teaching is work. It is, indeed, hard work to be a teacher, but the teacher herself is not "work." The teacher is a person, not an action.

My work is teaching.
My job is teaching.
I am a teacher. That's my job. That's how I work to earn a living. I teach.
