when to use the verb to do and to make
Can any one please help me to give a defination to a class of non native speakers on when to use the verb to do and when to use the verb to make.

For us non-native speakers, the verbs do and make are tricky.
In general terms, it helps to tell your students that the verb DO is often related to mental activities while the verb MAKE is related to manual activities. Eg, do the homework but make a cake.
