What is the difference between president and prime minister? They the two words interchangeable?

Re: president
In terms of government, a president is the head of a republic (like the United States). The prime minister is the head of a parliamentary system (like Canada and Britian).
The words are not interchangeable.
The word president has more meanings, in corporations and meetings, as the one who presides.
