iconocity
hello, teachers
I have confused the meaning of "arbitrary" and "iconocity" ? Would you please give some examples from a language other than English (with English translations) that illustrate this "partial iconicity"? That would help me to easy understand.
thank you very much

I have no idea what "iconicity" means. However, it would be better to say, "That would help me to understand more easily."

An arbitrary decision, for example, is one that is made by chance or whim, rather than by following a rational process or following rules and procedures.
I think you have spelled the second incorrectly:
1 entry found for iconicity.
i·con·ic ( P ) Pronunciation Key (-knk)
adj.
Of, relating to, or having the character of an icon.
Having a conventional formulaic style. Used of certain memorial statues and busts.
