Lightbulb How are French Quotes used in English?

Hi,

French quotes are widely used in Chinese language when someone wants mention the title of a book in a sentence. For example, the sentence "I am currently reading the book 《Pride and Prejudice》", when written in Chinese it is considered grammartically incorrect if the french quotes are omited.

Is there any usage of French Quotes (《》,or 〈〉)in English? How do you separate the title of a book from the rest of a sentence?

We don't use French guillemets or quotation marks in English. Book titles are in italics, or underlined if unavailable. You're reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Quotes are used for chapter titles or article titles, italics for whole publications.
