I would like to know the meaning of "I would never do that" in the next passage.
It was the hottest day of the year. Uncle Joe was wiping sweat off his face when he came into the house. “Ken, did you let the air out of two tires on my old truck?” he asked me.
“No, I would never do that,” I replied.
I am not a teacher, but I think Ken answered to his father that he has never made the stuff who is father talking about.
