C) As he's good at things like that, why don't you get Jim to give the speech of welcome? D) One person who is good at speech making is Jim; ask him to do it. E) Jim will make as good a speech of welcome as anyone l know; see if he'll agree to do it. Why B, why not A? |

| My non-professional opinion is this: A does not contain the information that Jim is the best. "will" in B gives me the impression that it is decided that Jim will give a speech, irrespective of the persuasion. A is the lesser of two devils. |
