Hi. I'm studying English as a second language.
Can someone tell me if there is any difference in meaning between these sentences below? Thanks!
a. I need to get prepared for the exam.
b. I need to prepare for the exam.
c. She dolled herself up to go out tonight.
d. She got all dolled up to go out tonight.
e. Five tips to start running.
f. Five tips to get started running.
g. She married him.
h. She got married to him.

'e' is an expression and not a sentence.
